In the plaza outside Southbank Centre, near the Hayward Gallery, stood this playful installation — a fountain where shifting curtains of water would periodically rise to form cube-shaped spaces.

It was delightful to watch people — not caring about the spray at all — joyfully running into these watery rooms as if they’d just discovered something wonderful.

Sometimes, it’s refreshing to experience interactive art that can simply be enjoyed, without any complex theories attached.

ヘイワード・ギャラリーがあるサウスバンク・センター前の広場に設置されていた噴水。水のカーテンが定期的に立ち上がり、キューブ型の空間を出現させる作品。

水しぶきなんて気にせず、「なにか素敵なものを見つけた！」と嬉しそうにその水の空間に飛び込んでいく人たちの姿が、とても印象的だった。

小難しい理屈抜きに、ただ楽しめる体験型アートも、たまには良いなと思う。
